60-67In the present article, surface wave propagation of moisture diffusion, temperature and elastic waves is discussed in a hygrothermoelastic medium. The coupled wave equations obtained in terms of moisture concentration, displacement and temperature are solved using surface wave solutions. On solving these equations, we get the values of penetration depths of different waves involved in this problem. These values are represented graphically against frequency. As a special case, the components of displacement, stresses and moisture concentration in the medium are also obtained and presented graphically, when a mechanical force is applied along the free surface of the hygrothermoelastic medium.
